Volume 9, Number 38 August  19, 2020

Dear Healthcare at Home Colleague,

This out-of-control pandemic poses a threat not only to your body but to your business. International cyber-criminals have quadrupled their efforts to break through your firewalls and anti-virus software. However, according to what you told us in our recent survey ("Will Working From Home Become the New Normal?"), you plan to have some staff working from their homes for the foreseeable future, perhaps permanently. Some of you mentioned that you are looking forward to reduced rent. Not so fast. Have you looked at the cost of making sure all these home networks are secure? Are you expecting your workers to pay for the security upgrades or are you taking on that responsibility?

The growing threats to cyber security, largely a result of the pandemic, are the focus of this week's issue. Beware of the attitude, so common in our industry, "Oh, it's not going to happen to me." If you are leaning in that direction, refer back to our series of articles about a home health & hospice software vendor's recent ransomware attack. You will see, it can happen to you.

  3. Click "Advanced"
  4. Type "Ransomware" in one search field.
  5. Type "Casamba" in the next field.
  6. Click "Search Now."
  7. Our reports will appear in reverse date order, the most recent at the top.

Whether you are home health, home care, hospice, or a tech company, click on each of the headlines below to read our survey of several expert viewpoints on the security risks of working from home. You will read about phishing schemes, bogus postcards in your mail, and measures you need to take.

A complimentary webinar & roundtable discussion for executive business leaders

Featuring: Mary Maloney

Date: September 11
Time: 12:00 - 12:45 EDT

Now more than ever we need leaders ready to own a new world narrative - those who are brave enough to strategically position and message their voice in the marketplace from a deeper perspective of purpose that connects directly to what lights them up (their brand genius).

Many leaders confess that they have forgotten their greatness or feel lost in a sea of sameness, amongst a fiercely competitive set. They say they struggle with what words will resonate or feel “salesy” when asked, “What do you do?”

Thanks to the pace of technology, we have less than seconds to connect, therefore, it’s no longer all about what you do for a living and the quantifiable goals you achieved;  it’s much more about what you stand for, the legacy you want to leave and building trust expeditiously with your tribe.

If 82% of people make buying decisions based on emotion (Capgemini), what emotive messages are you sending?

This webinar will start you on your journey to deliberately make your personal brand come alive.
