Volume 10, Number 44 — December 29, 2021
Dear Healthcare at Home Colleague,
As the poet said, "Another year over, and a new one just begun." And what a year it was! Canceled conferences, staff shortages, multiple mergers and acquisitions, and a population persistently progressing in average age.
Our tradition is to revisit the articles from the past year that you, our cherished readers, found most useful. As is your wont over our 23 years, you surprised us yet again. This year, three of the most-read news articles in your top 20 were from previous years. Apparently, more and more of you have discovered our search feature at the top of our home page (homecaretechreport.com). You enter one, two, or three search words – one word per line – and you find every news story that contains that word or combination of words since we went digital in 2005.
We cover technology, regulatory, and other Home Care, Home Health, and Hospice news to help you understand our healthcare sector better. The articles you click on tell us which issues are most important to you, and we listen. In 2021, we heard loud and clear that you want us to continue to cover hiring and staffing in 2022. Look at this year's most-read list. Our story about four agencies that found a solution to the problem of caregivers disappearing less than 30 days after hire was clicked 60 percent more often than the second most-read story.
Our sponsors make it possible for us to bring you this service without charging a subscription fee. I hope you will join me in thanking them. The best way to express your gratitude is to click on their display ads and see if they might be offering exactly what you are currently looking for.

Thanks also go out to all the guest authors who contributed content this year, especially Stephen Tweed, Melanie Stover, Burgess Harrison, and Roger McManus. And to experts like Bill Dombi, John Reisinger, and Michael McGowan, who helped us understand complex regulatory issues.
Thanks also to my team. Darcey Trescone adds excellent perspective from her vantage point as a nurse and former home care software company executive. Kristin, of the Girard Marketing Group, has a way of letting our sponsors know they are important by helping them create attractive ad campaigns. If you will indulge me one more, I must thank my world-class writing professor, who pushed me long, long ago but still influences my sentence structure today, Rev. James Allen, OMI.
Have a great week, and a caring 2022. As the poet quoted above also said, "Imagine all the people living life in peace."
During the 1st Quarter of 2022, web sites of the above advertisers were visited by home care and hospice executives and staff 5167 times.
