Volume 8, Number 31 June  19, 2019

Dear Healthcare At Home Colleague,

This week's issue is overflowing with news but you do not have to read all six articles. Pick the ones that impact your type of post-acute care services.

PRIVATE DUTY: Personal care providers will want to study our report on two independent researchers who came to the same conclusion in recently published papers. There is a direct link that can be identified between your staffing challenges and U.S. immigration policy. Considering the high percentage of foreign-born caregivers, both full-service care and respite for family caregivers may be negatively affected if there are fewer willing workers, usually women, seeking in-home care positions. Be sure to read "Research Papers Draw Line From Home Care Staffing to Immigration Policy" by clicking on the headline below.

Hireology is a staff recruitment and retention technology company that has just announced a partnership with private duty scheduling and EMR software vendor AxisCare. See "AxisCare Announces New Partner, New Client" below.

MEDICARE: Two urgent action items.

VENDOR NEWS: You will also want to read about the large new client signed by AxisCare, the release of Revenue Cycle Management services from Homecare Homebase, and the major national awards won by Brightree and Synzi.

WORTH THE TRIP: I hope to see you at Lincoln Health's "Senior Living 360" in National Harbor, MD, next month. Click on their banner below for details.
