Dear Healthcare at Home Colleague,

BREAKING NEWS

I am sending you this special edition to announce the unveiling of our fully redesigned web site. I hope you will like it...and use it. We have been working on it for months and are anxious to have you try out all of its new features.

The new site is still located at homecaretechreport.com but can do so much more than the site you have come to know over the last 12 years. It is more modern, more attractive, and more organized. It will help you when you are doing research or trying to find an article you read last month or last year or, for that matter, in 2005. We have some new features to keep you updated on technology and regulatory developments, and you can now search through past reports as well as past headlines. Here is your official guide to the new tools available to you.

Start with the five tabs across the top

  1. "Articles by Date" will scroll you down the home page to our 10 most recent headlines. As always, simply click on a headline to read the article. Here, you also see our new "Category Selection Wheel." You can search for news items by category. Select a category on the wheel and the 10 articles below sort to just those in that topic area. The headlines below change to the category you selected. [Be sure to check out the "Other Sites" selection on the wheel. We post links here to every state and national home health and hospice association and several government sites.]
  2. "Report Archives" will scroll you down farther to a list of links to previous reports. These are the email we send to subscribers every week. Now, if you don't remember an article you want to re-read but you remember when it was published, you can open that week's report and read its headlines.and summaries, as well as the "Dear Colleague" letter that introduces each report. (There is a two-week lag on the reports available to non-subscribers.)
  3. "Partner News" is an exciting new source of information for you. Our sponsors are invited to post here their white papers and press releases. Look for this feature to grow over time.
  4. "Other Services" takes you to http://RowanResources.com, where you will learn about the other ways we serve the Healthcare at Home industry in addition to this tech report. Here you will read about:
    1. our Home Care Technology Buyer's Guide
    2. our technology vendor selection consulting services
    3. our Reputation Management services, where we teach you how to rise to the top of Google and Yelp searches.
    4. important upcoming conferences and webinars
    5. how to
    6. engage an expert speaker for your conference; HCTR Editor Tim Rowan or another from our staff of telehealth and marketing professionals.
  5. "About Us," speaks for itself. Click here if you wonder what we look like and where we have been.

How to use "Search Articles"
We have saved every article we have published since we converted to this electronic format in 2005. If you want to see what NAHC said about PPS in 2007 or what we said about HealthcareFirst acquiring Lews, Inc. in 2010, you will find it here. Search on one key word or click the "Advanced" button and do a Boolean 'and' search on up to three key words. Search across all categories or limit your search to one of our topical categories. Try it out. It is a great place to do research or just take a trip down memory lane.

Read, share, print articles
When you open an article, it now opens into a new pop-window. From here, you can print an article or share it on Facebook, Google Plus, or Twitter. If you want to forward it to a colleague, select the Mail icon. It couldn't be easier.

HCTR is Still Free!
On every page, you will see graphic messages from the companies that support our efforts and ensure we do not ever have to have a subscription fee. Please let them know you appreciate their support by clicking on their ads and reading about their services. They may have the solution you are looking for.

As always, we love to hear from you. Let us know what you think of our new look by writing to editor@homecaretechreport.com.
