Volume 6, Number 45 May  10, 2017

Dear Healthcare at Home Colleague,

Home Care Tech Report is heading for the hills this week. The annual meeting of the Home Care Association of Colorado takes place in Keystone, May 17-19, when snow is forecast areas above 10,000 feet, which is where Keystone is. I hope to see my Colorado readers there, and I hope you packed appropriately. I will be delivering a presentation entitled, "Six Technologies You Desperately Need...But Have Never Heard Of."

Speaking of Colorado, I found a local company that changed the life of one Parkinson's patient by providing him with a tricycle powered by an electric motor. It is inspiring to see how restored mobility can brighten a person's outlook and instill hope.

Telehealth reporter Audrey Kinsella also found a new company. She profiles MedPod, Inc., a New York City telehealth company that is slashing the need for emergency department visits and improving patients' lives.

We also offer descriptions of two panel discussions that Brightree implementation and interoperability specialist are set to offer at the same Keystone conference this week. If they go over well, I would guess they will turn up at other state association meeting this year.

Lastly, the innovative Seattle company we have written about in the past, NetMotion, just announced the release of "Mobile IQ," a data analysis tool that supports mobile workers and their connected devices.

Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page to see the list of conferences and webinars we have found for you. Some of them are worth the trip. And, while you are in the clicking mood, be sure to explore our generous sponsors by clicking on their display ads. Companies that support our efforts are among the best in our healthcare field. They deserve your support in turn.

Have a great week. Keep making a difference!
