National Healthcare CXO Summit 2018

As healthcare systems adjust their strategies under the new administration, a few key trends will absolutely remain. Value-based care, increased patient power and consolidation for improved profits and coordination will continue to influence the decisions of healthcare thought leaders across the country.

marcus evans is very pleased to announce the National Healthcare CXO Summit taking place May 20-22, 2018 at the Omni Orlando Resort Championsgate, Orlando, FL.

The National Healthcare CXO Summit is the premium forum bringing senior level healthcare executives and solution providers together. As an invitation-only event, taking place behind closed doors, the Summit offers an intimate environment for a focused discussion of key new drivers shaping the healthcare industry.

Past keynote Presenter Kevin Vermeer, President and Chief Executive Officer, UnityPoint Health shared his insight on reinvigorating corporate culture to increase productivity, attract top talent and improve patient experience.

The past event also included a panel discussion on striving for operational excellence to achieve high-value care which was moderated by Steven A. Fellows, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Cottage Health

‘’The best network experience of any healthcare event!’’ - Chief Executive Officer, Inova Health System

‘’The dynamic speakers, beautiful venue, attendee qualifications and overall attention to detail made the Healthcare CXO Summit among the best educational experiences of my professional career.’’- Regional Vice President, Planning and Development, HCA Healthcare

Healthcare Chief Executives are the highest-ranking corporate officers charged with patient safety, hospital policy, collaborating between physician and operations as well as total management of the organization. Chief Executives of healthcare organizations have very traditional responsibilities as their counterparts outside of the healthcare community but also have a unique set of challenges that can only be seen within the healthcare organization.
This is further compounded by the fact that they must ensure that quality and patient safety is maintained whilst providing the ultimate service.

Conflict between hospitals and home health agencies, private duty agencies, hospices and HME companies that receive referrals from hospitals may be intensifying regarding patients' right to freedom of choice. Hospitals say that they comply with all requirements while some post-acute providers maintain the exact opposite. Now post-acute providers are suing hospitals for violations.
  • What exactly are hospitals supposed to do?
  • What do post-acute providers say are common violations?
  • What is an example of a recent lawsuit filed against hospitals for violations?
  • What can hospital discharge planners/case managers do to avoid these types of lawsuits?
  • How can providers help ensure that patients' rights are honored instead of filing court cases against hospitals?
Participate in this teleconference to learn the answers to all of these questions! Extensive handouts will be provided that will also serve as a resource when questions come up in the future.

Managed Care Insights and Strategies for Post-Acute Partners

Presented by: Netsmart/DeVero
Wednesday, July 11
2:00 p.m. Eastern
Registration

According to a recent MedPAC report, enrollment in managed care programs grew 8% from 2016 to 2017, accounting for nearly 32% of all Medicare beneficiaries, with enrollment projected to grow even higher in 2018. With the rapid growth in managed care plans, the organizations managing these contracts are looking to narrow their network of post-acute providers, creating smaller networks of high-value preferred partners.

To help post-acute providers develop effective managed care strategies, we invited Stacey Youcis, senior vice president of service lines and population health at Lancaster General Health to discuss what they look for in an ideal post-acute partner. AJ Peterson, vice president of interoperability at Netsmart, will join the conversation to discuss technology strategies post-acute providers should consider when positioning to their managed care partners.

Key Takeaways:

  • Insights from a managed care organization
    • Current state of managed care programs
    • Ideal characteristics of a post-acute partner
    • Future of managed care programs
  • Strategies to participate in managed care
    • Understanding risk
    • Technology solutions to facilitate participation
    • Integrating into the broader ecosystem of care
